Best Dressed At The 2023 Met Gala
A Few Thoughts
This was probably my favorite Met Gala in quite some time. I enjoyed the fashion so much — especially as a lover of black and white looks adorned with lots of accessories. I found myself quite inspired.
I love menswear, and I’m always most looking forward to seeing what the men are wearing. I feel like they had fun this year, and took risks.
I miss seeing Wiz Khalifa on the Met carpet. That sepia brown Dior Homme suit? The Thom Browne jacket? *chef’s kiss* I really love when looks are classic, fun, well-styled, and worn effortlessly. Wiz did that well. I would have loved to see what he would have styled this year.
Dua Lipa wore the iconic 1992 Chanel Bridal Tweed Gown. I know many are calling it one of the best dressed of the night, but I was disappointed. It’s one of my all-time favorite gowns, and I was excited to see someone take it above and beyond and actually do something with it. Last night it just felt like she was a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress. I would have loved to see it on someone who would have styled the dress. It felt so plain.
